Please abide by the safety rules and signs at the showgrounds and follow instructions from marshalls and show officials. Young children must be supervised at all times.

By bus
On Wednesday 11 November the No. 7 City to Halswell & Kennedys Bush bus will travel every 15 minutes between 6.37am and 6.37pm. The service will travel from the city exchange to the corner of Halswell and Curletts Roads. Tickets are $2.80 for adults and $1.40 for children each way or by Metrocard. The No. 7 will run to normal timetable on all three days of the Show. On Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November, an express service will operate between outside the bus exchange on Lichfield Street and the River Turnstiles by Curletts Road every 30 minutes between 9.30am and 4.00pm (last service departs Showgrounds at 4.30pm). Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children each way or by Metrocard (no discounts or transfers available). There will be at least one wheelchair compatible bus per service. By car
The public entrance is Wigram 3, then follow the directional signage to free public parking. A free shuttle bus will run from the carpark to the lake turnstile entrance. Vehicles will also be able to exit the public carpark via Templetons Road onto Halswell Road on Friday only. A one way system will operate on Treffers and Hayton Roads as well as Wigram Road between these two roads. On Friday 13 November there will be a pedestrian drop off zone on the corner of Treffers and Wigram Roads and the inside of the Curletts Road gate. There will be no right turn in or out of the Curletts Road gate after 9am on that day. There will be no stopping allowed on Curletts Road at any time during the Show.

By bike
There will be bike stands available for public use at the lake turnstile and river turnstile entrances. Bring a padlock to secure your bike.

By taxi
There will be taxi stands inside the Curletts Road and Wigram 1 entrances to the showgrounds. The official taxi company for the Royal New Zealand Show is Blue Star Taxis, phone 03 379 9799.
