On Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 November 2010, School groups will be invited to attend the Show at a discounted rate.

Guinness World Record Attempt

An exciting Guinness World Record attempt at Leap Frog will take place at the Canterbury A&P Show at 12.45pm on Thursday 11 November. The current world record for the greatest number of people leapfrogging at a single venue is held by Singapore with 1300 people jumping simultaneously.

Leapfrogging is a children's game in which each player in turn leaps over the others' bent backs, leaning on them with the hands and spreading the legs wide.

With the help of year 4, 5 and 6 students from around Christchurch, the Canterbury A&P Show is planning on having over 2000 children break the record under the watchful eye of Show visitors and Guinness World Record Representatives.
