Congratulations to Jim & Kim Burrows, for winning the 2023 Mint Lamb Competition & Charlotte Boyce for taking out the Class 3 Ram Breeders section!

This year we had a very respectable 50 lambs delivered to the Canterbury Saleyards for their live weight recordings, the lambs were then transferred to South Pacific Meats Malvern, to be judged on overall carcass yield.

The objective of the Mint Lamb Competition is to promote the quality and variety of lamb available in the South Island, leading to increased consumption while providing an opportunity for individual farmers to be recognised for the superior product they produce.
