ASB Agricultural Park

In 1997 the Canterbury A&P Show moved to Canterbury Agricultural Park, New Zealand's first purpose built Show facility. In 2001 the Canterbury A&P Association reached an agreement with the Christchurch City Council for the purchase of a significant portion of land from the Association. The Association has retained the right to use that land for the annual Show. In 2015, ASB came on board as a Supreme Champion Sponsor for the Canterbury A&P Show and the park became known as ASB Agricultural Park.

ASB Agricultural Park is also home to the Christchurch NZ Riding for the Disabled, Canterbury Saleyards, the Mainland Motorcycle School Halswell Pony Club, and the South Island German Shepherd League

The excellent, modern facilities at ASBAgricultural Park are also used throughout the year for other events such as the Ram & Ewe Sale, Horse & Pony Breeders Show, National Arab Show and the PGG Standardbred Sale, Spring Into Action, numerous horse shows as well as being used as a junior rugby league ground. All events bring more people to the grounds.
