DOG TRIALS SECTION

Entry Fees: $20 Members, $30 Non-Members (GST included). ENTRIES CLOSE 2 OCTOBER 2023. NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED.
Conditions
D.1: The trial shall be run under the Conditions of the New Zealand Sheep Dog Trial Association and subject to the special by-laws of the Canterbury A&P Association. Open to all dogs, no qualification required.
D.2: Hydatids Clearance Certificates - Competitors must produce Hydatids Clearance Certificates or Cards, as stated in the N.Z. Sheep Dog Trial Association’s Rules before they will be permitted to compete.
D.3: No objectionable dog will be allowed on the ground.
D.4: Competitors must run in the order of draw, unless special permission has been obtained from the Supervisor. Any competitor will forfeit his run if not present when his name is called. A competitor who is an Official of the Show, or an Exhibitor in the principal sections may arrive up to 60 minutes late. If his explanation is accepted by the Supervisor, he must be ready to start within two runs.
COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE:
The Committee reserves the right to change the course prior to the start if necessary. Entries may be limited to 150 at Committee discretion; preference to members.
THE COURSE
D.5: The course will be within the Mighty Mix Dog Trial Arena and include hurdles, bridge, Maltese Cross, and pen. Points total 100.
D.6: The Judge may call off any dog committing a misdemeanour of any kind, or after the expiration of a reasonable time, any dog which, in his opinion has no chance of being placed.
D.7: Draw subject to change at the discretion of the Committee and will not be open for review.
D.8: Top 6 qualifiers to run off in final. Points: Total 100 points.
Prize Money
Note that by entering into this confirmation we take this as acceptance that you understand that any prize money paid by CAPA to you, may depending on the amount and your individual circumstances, be regarded as income by the Inland Revenue in New Zealand and therefore subject to the payment of income tax. It is your responsibility to take independent advice on this and to make such payment where required.
CAPA accepts no responsibility for the payment of any income tax obligations that may or may not arise from the payment of any such prize money to you.
Draw subject to change at the discretion of the Committee and will not be open for review. A final will be run for the top 5 dogs at completion of preliminary event.
This class is run as part of Class 8040 but is judged separately. To qualify entrants must indicate with an 'M' on entry form. Sponsored by Mighty Mix Dog Foods Limited.
