2021 Online Show
It was with much disappointment; the hard decision was made to cancel the NZ AG Show event last month. However, CAPA’s staff, board, and committees have quickly pivoted The Show to bring it in an online format. Many competitions are still going ahead and will be broadcasted online on our YouTube and social channels over the coming months.
The video segments will cover competition such as the pig exhibiting, shearing, dog trials, alpaca fleece, boys & girls AG Day, on-farm items with the Cattle, and innovative and historic stories within the CAPA communities.
There will also be a special 1-hour show on The New Zealand Agricultural Show that will air on TV1 in December 2021. This will be presented by Tangaroa Walker and Ali Pugh, covering events across show week, whilst also showcasing the farmyard experience for school children, agricultural innovation and mental health in the rural sector.
All farmers throughout the South Island can enter a lamb for the competition. If you don’t have a lamb to enter, no worries! You can enter via a ‘gift donation’ of $100 incl GST for one entry in the prize draw. With 55 prizes worth over $21,000, it is well worth entering.
We are excited to announce that we are hosting a Virtual Beef Cattle Show open to beef breeders right around New Zealand. This is the first virtual national beef show of its kind occurring in New Zealand.
