It is with great sadness, and for the first time since World War II, we announce that the New Zealand Agricultural Show will not go ahead in 2020. Thanks to all the fantastic support received through our Show Saviour campaign, the team are now working towards planning a 2021 Show.
This year, the committees are progressing with section events, which will be closed to the public, alongside a City Farmyard in the CBD on Canterbury Anniversary Day.
With over 500 volunteers and 2500 individual competitions, the New Zealand Agricultural Show is a symbol of community, history and heritage. This cross-generational event brings together a passionate group of rural exhibitors, innovators and celebrators, helping us bridge the urban rural divide during three days packed with competition, entertainment and fun!
If you are a member, trade exhibitor, supplier or sponsor, you will have received an update on this decision from a member of the Show team, please do check your inbox and get in touch at info@theshow.co.nz with any queries.
