As you are aware, the Association will not be hosting the annual New Zealand Agricultural Show this year and have instead focused on how we can execute smaller events, that bring our exhibitor communities together, while still adhering to our financial and moral restrictions.
We currently have the following competitions confirmed for 2020:
We are happy to announce we will host dressage, showing, hunters and show jumping events at the Canterbury Agricultural Park on 12 & 13 November.
Prize money is still being confirmed. Taking in to consideration class numbers, prize money will likely be allocated for placings 1st-3rd. Further information will be updated regarding this shortly.
This is a reduced scale competition for 2020 an does not offer the breadth of sections and classes the Association usually hosts at the New Zealand Agricultural Show. The competition will be run over two days, instead of the three usually offered at the Show, and, therefore, we have had to reduce the number of sections catered for. Decisions were made taking into consideration the most supported sections year on year, along with HOY qualifying sections.
Please note, due to unforeseen circumstance, the Ridden Welsh Section will now not be held in 2020. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause. The schedule is now up-to-date and we do not foresee any further alterations. Should things change, timely updates will be provided here.
