Not only does the Mint Lamb Competition offer prestige, there are big prizes to be won too. With $1,000 on offer for the overall winner, as well as cash prizes for the highest scorers looking at a combination of overall carcass yield & hook scores and tender test scores, this competition is not one to be missed. This a great opportunity to support the Show and promote your farming operation.
Entries close on wednesday 23rd October and the winners will be announced during the live taste test final on Wednesday 13 November in the Sheep Exhibitors Club at the New Zealand Agricultural Show. The afternoon offers a chance to catch up with your fellow farmers over a few beers, some freshly cooked lamb, with further opportunity for spot prizes. There is no fee to enter.
