With the competitive action in the Shearing Pavilion kicking off on Thursday, Wednesday is all about the kids! Professional shearers will participate in demonstrations and give children the opportunity to have a go, albeit with stuffed toy sheep.

The competitive action in the Shearing Pavilion kicks off on Thursday with Woolhandling heats from 7.30am. Machine and Blade Shearing heats and finals take place from 7.30am on Friday. Don’t miss the World Champs qualifying final on Friday – New Zealands top shearers and woolhandlers will battle it out to take a spot in the NZ team that will be competing in the World Championships in Invercargill. Shearing Demonstrations and Children’s Shearing will be held on Wednesday.

The New Zealand Agricultural Show is run by the Canterbury A&P Association.
The Canterbury A&P Association is a membership based organisation, which celebrated 150 years in 2012. The Association's mission is to further the progress of agriculture in Canterbury and New Zealand, through the annual New Zealand Agricultural Show.
