Heartland Bank Young Auctioneers Competition
The Heartland Bank Young Auctioneers Competition has become one of the most popular competitions to watch at The Show. The competition aims to showcase and develop young auctioneers and improve the standard of auctioneering across the board. During the judging, which includes a test of auction rules and a mock auction, each entrant will be required to sell two lots of heifers/bulls. Entrants will be judged on overall performance including voice, diction, manner and values. Contestants come from all over the country to compete in the competition.

Children’s Shearing
It’s all about the kids in the Shearing Pavilion today with shearing demonstrations and the chance for children to “have a go” with toy sheep!

Ultimate Canines
Chelsea has a talented troupe of dogs ready to entertain the masses. As previous contestants on New Zealand’s Got Talent, these pooches are used to the limelight!

Fun for the kids
Kids will love the Tip Top Family Lawn with entertainment from award winning duo Itty Bitty Beats, along with the hilarious magician Brendan Dooley and Rollicking Entertainment’s Circus Side Show. Make sure you have a go at the Fonterra Fastest Folder Competition too!
