The dairy goat section at the Show has been a strong contender in the popularity stakes over recent years, with the draw of these little characters appealing to the public and exhibitors alike.
With the standard of animal exhibited at the Show constantly increasing, it is only fair that this is reflected in the competitions. This year, the Show will welcome Bryony LePoidevin from Australia, a judge with over forty years of experience in the breeding and showing realm. With personal experience breeding Anglo Nubians, British Alpines, Miniature Nubians & Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats, Bryony is certainly well-versed in studying form and spotting a worthy winner. Having travelled all states of Australia judging prestigious dairy goat competitions, this will be the first time Bryony has ventured to New Zealand to judge, with her expressing her honour in joining us this year.
We will shortly be releasing our Schedule of Classes, listing all Classes available for entry this year. There is also a wealth of information on our site to help with any queries you may have with regards to exhibiting at the Show, you will find the answers at www.theshow.co.nz/canterbury-a-and-p-association.
We cannot wait to welcome Bryony to the New Zealand Agricultural Show this year, and hope to see you there too!
