Princess Anne Visits The Canterbury Agricultural Park

Princess Anne Visits The Canterbury Agricultural Park

 Sat, 18th Feb, 2023

What a wonderful way to start our 160th Anniversary year as an Association!

Her Royal Highness Princess Anne received an update on the role of New Zealand’s agricultural and pastoral showing movement, and the sheep and wool industry during her recent visit to Christchurch.

As part of her day-long stay in the Garden City, Her Royal Highness and husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence spent time at the Canterbury Agricultural Park, the home of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association.

While there, Princess Anne unveiled a plaque in the Canterbury Agricultural Park Show Saviour garden. It commemorates generous donors who supported the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association during the lean years of the Covid pandemic.

The visit was a great honour and privilege, for the Association and a wonderful way to start our 160th Anniversary year.
