The Show is more than ribbons and results, it’s a place to catch up with old friends, make new connections, share your passion and celebrate the traditions that bring our community together and the event to life.
163 years of bringing Canterbury together
The Ravensdown Canterbury A&P Show is one of New Zealand's largest agricultural events, held every November at Canterbury Agricultural Park. Since 1862, it's brought together farmers, families, and first-time visitors from across the region and beyond.
Over three days, more than 70,000 people come through the gates, many staying for hours, not minutes. It's where old friendships are renewed and new ones are made, where rural tradition meets city curiosity, and where the best of Canterbury's agricultural community is celebrated.
Whether you're competing, exhibiting, or just here for the day, this is a Show built by the community, for the community.

to hit the ground running.
For over 160 years, the Canterbury A&P Show has been where the country comes to town and where Canterbury comes to shop. Today that means 70,000+ visitors across three days, with 84% of our attendees rating our trade stalls Excellent or Very Good. It's an audience that arrives curious, stays for hours, and spends.
Your trade site comes with the backing to make the most of it: placement guidance from our trade team, straightforward site options to suit your setup, and support on the ground from pack-in to pack-out. Whether it's your 1st show or your 40th, we make it easy to hit the ground running.
