SHOW SAFETY
Due to the wide variety of exhibits, displays, competitions and events, it is incredibly important that all visitors abide by the safety rules and signage at the Canterbury Agricultural Park. As a general rule, please follow the instructions of all Marshalls, Show Officials and Signage.
Animals
The animals on display or in competition are very important and our team and competitors take their safety very seriously. Please do not enter any animal enclosures, touch or irritate the animals.
Roads
The internal roads within the Canterbury Agricultural Park are open for emergency and Show vehicles and horses, cattle and other livestock, particularly around the Isaac Construction Premier Ring, and the Robsons Cattle Lawn. Please be aware of animal and vehicular traffic around the Park, particularly with children in your care.
Children
Over 100,000 people are expected over the three days, and certain times can get very busy. We recommend writing a phone number on their arm or leaving it with your child, in case they get separated from you and Staff can help notify you.
Please also ensure your children do not enter the livestock pens or enclosures, or get too close to animals, including standing behind horses, cows or bulls, as they may not see them there.
